Nike Slingshot 4D Irons

4.5 stars out of 5 (Based on 2 reviews)

The Nike Slingshot 4D irons add progressive change to four critical areas of performance to create irons that play how you need them to, when you need them to.

#1: Slingback: Design positioned strategically (low and back in long irons; higher and forward in short irons) in each club to achieve the desired ball flight.

#2: Variable Sole Width: Narrows progressively throughout the set (long irons are wider for higher launch; short irons are thinner to provide greater control).

#3: Progressive Offset: Offset in the long irons make it easier to square the face and hit high, straight shots. Incremental decreases in the mid and short irons ensure precise shot-making with the scoring clubs.

#4: Club Head Profile: The long irons offer hybrid-like forgiveness and high, soft-landing shots. The mid-size profile of the short irons enhances control and accuracy.

Nike Slingshot 4D Irons Review

The Nike Slingshot 4D irons are visually a major improvement on the previous Slingshot irons. The bar on the back of the heads has been merged into the design and looks very classy. You do notice it protruding from the back of the head on each of the clubs which can be a little disconcerting, but all worries will vanish when you hit them. This bar moves the weight lower and further back which means the feel and forgiveness are excellent. The trajectory was very good and we were pleasantly surprised by the performance of the Nike Slingshot 4D irons and the ability to shape shots throughout the set. The only slight downside was that the heads did seem a little heavier than your average iron, but we were hitting them so well it did not matter that much. A great iron for mid single figure handicaps up to high teens.

Very surprised at how good the Nike Slingshot 4D irons were. Easy to hit, shape shots and gett the ball airborne with distance behind it. They look good too. A great improvement on the previous model.
