The Nike Air Zoom TW 2009 golf shoe has been designed primarily to provide additional support to the golf swing where it is needed most. A groundbreaking Tour grade shoe, the Air Zoom TW 2009 provides the luxury of leather in tandem with the performance benefits of lighter, more durable modern materials.
Closely collaborating with Tiger Woods, the world’s greatest player, the designers have produced a shoe that copes with the lateral forces experienced with left foot roll over in the follow through, an effect experienced by both professional and handicap players.
To add this stability the Air Zoom TW 2009 features a TPU Stabiliser that extends past the traditional outsole to provide greater lateral support and in doing so aids weight transfer without giving a stiff feel to the shoe. Working in harmony with Ballistic Mesh panel the stabiliser provides maximum support without any compromise in comfort.
The Ballistic Mesh Upper Panel on the Air Zoom TW 2009 combines with premium full grain leather, resulting in a shoe that offers both technology and luxury. The mesh will not stretch over time so provides more support than leather over the lifespan of the shoe, while featuring a Dupont™ coating to offer lasting stain and water resistance, whilst ensuring the foot remains cool and dry in any weather.
Combined with Nike Golf’s Tour-proven tri-density Power Platform, optimal traction from Champ’s Scorpion Stinger™ spikes and the low profile cushioning provided by Zoom Air technology, the new Air Zoom TW provides the perfect platform for Tiger Woods and every golfer.

With the The Nike Air Zoom TW 2009 golf shoe, Nike have really transferred all their technical know-how from running and football into golf shoes. The single piece design of the upper combines with the DuPont fabric that does not stretch to give a classy design of golf shoe. Not only does it look good, but the upper is soft and easy to wear right out the box and the breathability of the shoe is excellent to keep your foot cool and dry. The sole of Air Zoom comprises several 'channel's to allow the foot to move through the swing, especially through impact and you can really feel the extra stability. The sole of the Nike Air Zoom TW 2009 golf shoe also has a great grip design around the spikes that does no clog up with grass to give you excellent all round grip. The Air element of the shoe, as you would expect, means that it is very light for a golf shoe and that is going to be good for your golf too. An excellent shoe that Tiger will be wearing in 2009, so if it is good enough for him, then that is good enough for us.
