Golfers are always looking for more distance, more speed, more accuracy, more spin, and now thanks to Nike and their new 20XI ball, they get more RZN.

RZN is Nike's proprietary core technology that results in a faster, lighter core than traditional rubber cores. The 20XI has two times as much RZN as the previous model, released in 2011.

Nike Golf's product development director for golf balls, Rock Ishii says "The added RZN mantle provides faster speed off irons and, therefore, more distance. Not only did we increase speed with 20XI, but we added softness for improved feel around the greens, creating a balanced tour model golf ball."

The new, larger, softer RZN is said to improve feel on every shot whilst improving driver distance. By using the RZN material, which is lighter than rubber, Nike were able to move more weight to the perimeter of the ball.

Usually MOI is associated with metal woods, but Nike have actually improved the MOI of the 20XI and claim it has added 2 to 3 mph of ball speed to some of their Tour players.

The Nike 20XI is also available as a firmer 20XI X golf ball.
