The MX-23 is the most forgiving iron available. Mizuno engineers produced the MX-23TM to have an even lower, deeper center of gravity and larger sweet area. This is achieved by milling the pocket cavity both wider and longer moving critical weight down and away from the club face for an easy launch and improved playability. No other iron can offer the game improvement technology while maintaining the solid, soft feel that only comes from a Mizuno Grain Flow ForgedTM iron.

Recommend the Mizuno MP-30 irons and/or MX-20s over MX-23s. MX-23s have poor feel and directional control and appeared to favor thin hits. MX-20s were superior to MP23s and the MP30s. MP 30s perform, set-up and feel superior to MX-20 and 23. Forgiveness even appears better with the MP-30 irons.

These Mizuno MX-23 irons are lovely clubs. Because they are forged, the MX-23s feel a great deal softer than my old clubs (which were T-Zoid clones). The clubs are also very well balanced. Although just a beginner at the game, I find that they are very forgiving and give me a confidence boost when standing over the ball. The Mizuno MX-23s are also great looking! I would recommend shopping around however, as there is a great range of prices out there and these are not cheap sticks! Those on a budget would do well to consider second-hand, rather than pay the same price for new and inferior.
