The Mizuno MP R-Series Chrome wedge combines the soft pure feel of its Grain Flow Forged 1025E Pure Select mild carbon steel with a new Tour Workshop inspired sole design. Made with the same craftsmanship and precision that goes into Mizuno’s legendary irons, the Mizuno MP R-Series Chrome wedge will offer golfers the consistent, solid, soft feel of a Mizuno forging, a classic round head shape, minimal offset, and an innovative workshop grind sole that offers players maximum versatility around the greens. The MP R-Series Chrome wedge utilizes a workshop-grind sole design that utilizes significant relief in the heel and toe areas for shot versatility, a rolled leading edge for minimal digging, a cambered mid-sole for consistent ball striking, and a beveled trailing edge for reduced turf drag. The result is maximum playability from any lie and unmatched versatility around the greens. As with all Mizuno wedges, the MP R-Series feature CNC Max Milled square grooves for precise ball control and from 1025E pure optimum spin. Each Mizuno MP-R Series Chrome wedge is Grain Flow Forged Select mild carbon steel for the solid, soft, consistent feel that only comes from Mizuno.

The Mizuno MP R-Series wedge features the C-grind sole for maximum versatility around the greens. The difference between the R and T Series is the head shape, with the R series having a more rounded design. The rounder leading edge on the C-grind sole really makes it easy to play the shot you want from sand or around the green and even from hard sand the club got through the ball to deliver the perfect result. The feel was great and the Max Milled square grooves gave lots of control on short and long pitch shots.
