Mizuno Golf Clubs
The Mizuno MP-57 irons are a grain flow forged iron featuring award-winning Cut Muscle technology in a full cavity design. The MP-57 is the first iron in Mizuno's legendary MP line that utilizes a full cavity, resulting in a larger sweet area and making the MP-57 the most playable MP iron in the storied history of the company. Along with increased forgiveness, the Mizuno MP-57s with Cut Muscle Technology will deliver the unsurpassed feel and precision that MP players crave. The result is an iron that delivers an extremely consistent and predictable ball flight and unmatched workability while also providing extra forgiveness that any player can benefit from. Other features of the Mizuno MP-57 include a rolled leading edge, cambered mid-sole, and rolled trailing edge to deliver consistent striking ability from all types of lies, modified U-grooves produce the ideal spin rate for maximum playability in all conditions, and a durable double nickel chrome plated finish for a player preferred look.

The Mizuno MP-57 is the first iron in Mizuno's legendary MP line that utilizes a full cavity back. Compared to the MP-60, the new MP-57 irons have a face that is taller and slightly wider to go with that full cavity. This 2 and a half % increase in the head size delivers a sweet spot that is 7% bigger and you can really feel the difference, especially in the longer irons. The larger head gives you much more confidence at address and we feel that this iron is excellent and perfect for low single figure players up to mid-teens who prefer a quality forged iron.

The Mizuno MP-57 irons are awesome. Look and feel great. Very easy to hit and have a lot of forgiveness for such small headed clubs. Just another great set of irons from Mizuno that will be in the bags of quality golfers as soon as they hit the shelves.

The Mizuno MP-57 irons have a nice weight and feel. The club heads look great, not too clunky. Not a huge sweet spot but when struck well the clubs felt very good. I think ideally suited to a low to mid handicapped golfer.

The Mizuno MP-57 is a forgiving players club that has all the virtues for which Mizuno irons are known. Get the right shaft and you'll have no more excuses. My swing speed is just slightly faster than average but I load the shaft with hard swinging. The Project X 5.0 suits my swing well and delivers the tightest dispersion I have ever seen.

I have played with Ping I-3s and Nike Slingshots for the last five years, but purchased a set of the Mizuno MP 57 irons 4-PW with upgraded project X 6.0 shafts. My initial thoughts were that these clubs would be too difficult to play with since I am a 12 handicap. However it is the exact opposite. These clubs force you to set up your game and they reward you with fewer strokes in your round. The clubs are extremely responsive. Meaning when I hit a sweet spot the ball flight is high, straight, and perfect distance. When you miss the sweet spot it feels as if I hit a foul ball in baseball in the cold and your hands are vibrating. My typical miss hits with the Mizuno MP-57s have been high, same distance, and 10 yards to the right or left. This is a huge difference to the other clubs I have played which have been more like 10-25 yards right or left. So while the sweet spots on the 57s are smaller than your typical intermediate clubs the sweet spot is still pretty big and miss hits are closer than normal to the greens especially with the long irons. Distance control is an absolute 10 with these clubs and for a 100+ mph swinger like me that is very important. Having played clubs like the slingshots and the I-3s, I could crush a 9 iron anywhere from 120 to 165 yards. With the 57s, my 9 iron goes 120 yards no matter how hard I swing. The traditional look is subtle and classic. The shiny soles, small cavity back, and blade like feel are perfectly blended together to give you a tour player looking club. Overall, I would recommend these clubs for players with a 15 or better handicap who is looking for a new set to score with. If you are a strong swinger, go with the project X 6.0 shafts.
