The Mizuno JPX800 Fairway harnesses its HOT METAL energy within an extremely consistent ‘Ultimate Dynamic Stability’ design. Consistently high ball speeds and near maximum R&A conforming distance are delivered from a wide area of the 1770 stainless maraging steel clubface thanks to increased stability on both its vertical and horizontal axis (UDS).

The straight high flight and easy launch of the Mizuno JP800 will suit amateurs of all standards, while the square look at address and rolled toe will build on the tour appeal of its predecessor – the MX-700. The JPX800’s ‘Balanced Performance’ design ensures that criteria of ball speed, feedback, forgiveness, and address position are all enhanced hand-in-hand without adversely impacting the other. Mizuno’s lightweight Exsar FS5 graphite shaft is fitted as standard on the JPX800, with a range of custom options available.

Mizuno JPX800 Fairway Wood Review

The Mizuno JPX800 fairway wood replaces the very successful MX-700 version and thankfully it keeps the large oversized head that made the previous model so successful. This not only gives you more confidence, but the larger head also makes it more forgiving. Compared to the old version the face has less offset and is a little more open which we think should appeal to more golfers and better players should certainly give this a try. The JPX800 fairway was easy to shape shots and the classy shaped head felt and sounded very good although the jury is out on the dark blue colour scheme. This is likely to be competitively prices and it is a serious challenger in the mid to low handicap market.

Picked up this great fairway wood thanks to golfalot.com recently. Now I'm hitting the ball longer and straighter bringing more par 5 greens into play on my second shot. So far it's saving me at least 3-4 strokes per round. With a lovely feel on impact, I look forward to taking the club out of my bag each round. I'd buy another Mizuno wood/hybrid in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.
