When you think about Mizuno, one of the first words that may come to mind is 'feel'. Well their latest piece of equipment built for improved feel is their Mizuno Genem Elite shoe.

The premium, Tour-level shoe features Mizuno's Infinity Wave plate. The plate, used in Mizuno's running shoes, is engineered to produce stable and durable cushioning and prevent foot fatigue. The lateral stability of the plate also provides a good platform for a golf swing.

Mizuno’s Mito Yozawa explains, “Our Wave technology has been the driving force behind Mizuno’s rising popularity amongst serious runners for the last ten years. Unlike previous cushioning technologies, the Wave plate also has inherent natural stability and maintains its performance over a longer period.

“A reconfiguration to suit golf meant that the same Wave technology can give a really well cradled, supported fit for the long walk round a golf course. At the same time it stops any lateral movement – storing all your swing power from the base up.”

In the Genem Elite shoe, the Inifinity Wave plate is further improved with the addition of a lateral rib structure and forefoot stabilizers, providing even more stability and a comfortable fit.

The feel aspect of the Genem Elite comes from the fine grain leather upper. Sitting above the Infinity Wave and Mizuno's IG4 spikes, the high-grade leather gives the shoe its premium look and feel.

The structure of the shoe has been upgraded also. A new, more rounded heel shape helps lift and cradle your foot while more padding has been added to the forefoot in the areas that are most pressured during your swing, adding more comfort during your swing.

The Mizuno Genem Elite shoe will enter the market along with the Genem Drystyle shoe (synethic upper rather than leather) with an RRP of £159.
