I tried the 18 degree Mizuno Fli-Hi with a stiff steel shaft and found it a very easy club to hit. The feel was as good as my normal Mizuno T-Zoid 2-iron and it was more forgiving. The thick top line and larger head gives you lots of confidence. However it does do what is says on the tin and flies high, so if you are looking for something to stay under the win then stick with your 2-iron. If you want something that goes as far as your long irons and is much easier to hit then this is the club for you!

I found that the Mizuno Fli-Hi was very heavy and quite awkward to swing. I know long irons especially with a steel shaft tend to be quite heavy clubs, but I find myself getting the ground caught between the ball and the clubface. It’s probably just something wrong with my swing though, but however when I make a good swing and strike the ball I get relatively straight shots and a surprising amount of distance almost as much as my 3 wood.
