The Mizuno MX-950 irons are a blended set of hybrids and irons.

The hybrid 3 and 4 iron replacements feature internal tungsten weights for more forgiving shots and were very easy to hit.

The irons from 5 through to 7 use hollow back heads also featuring tungsten weights in the lowest and deepest area of the cavity. Then the 8 iron through to pitching wedge provide solid and consistent feel in one piece scoring irons.

Overall the Mizuno MX-950 irons give you the best of both worlds, a high quality set of forged irons with lots of forgiveness.

Obviously the feel was not as good as the MP-57s, but nonetheless these irons still gave good feedback and with Mizuno’s custom fitting service, you can get the whole set matched up to your own golf swing.

Decent clubs for a beginner who does not swing the same every day. They do fly very high and do come in on a pickle pickle . You need to get your distances right on approach and as I say pickle that means dropping right straight down on the green . Which is good , if you don’t reach the green you’ll be in trouble. In summary I do have a set I started with and now use Mizuno blades, MP-4, and have a set of MP-60.

Bought these second hand a few years ago with regular true temper R300 SL shafts. Thinking about upgrade but these compare well with latest EZ 2016 and ping G in performance and aesthetics.

Love this set. Bought it second hand a year ago and haven't been convinced to upgrade with new JPX EZ standard or forged. I had several flight and feel comparison this is still as good.

Tend to draw left compared to other irons but are forgiving and do loft the ball well. Not convinced about the feel or look, but, as my game went to pieces using Adams idea pro during the winter, these corrected my iron play and restored confidence in the middle iron shots.

I enjoyed using the Mizuno MX-950 irons. They are easy to hit with the ball getting airborne quickly. Nice sound on contact and the clubs looked OK. Seemed to be pretty forgiving with a nice sweet spot. The hybrid 3 was very nice with a nice solid contact feel and sound.

If you need some game improvement then the Mizuno MX-950 Hybrid set could be for you. They give you such a lot of confidence when the club sits behind the ball with the big heads. They are so easy to hit and get the ball up and out there. Not for the low handicapper, but if you are struggling with your game then you would not go wrong with these.
