The Mizuno JPX800 driver aims to be a driver for all golfers as it replaces the successful MX-700 and the adjustable MP600 driver.

It therefore has a tough job to follow as we were very impressed by the previous two clubs but the JPX800 driver manages to pull it off. The rounded triangular shaped head and very slightly closed club face gives you all the forgiveness of the MX-700 without looking too pointy.

We found that the performance was very good with a lovely sound and feel and an impressive consistency. Better players will like this too as it was easy to shape shots and get a good trajectory.

We were not sold on the dark blue colour scheme but that is a personal preference and apart from that the JPX800 is a very competent all round driver for players of all abilities.
