Tests have shown that hybrid utility clubs are more forgiving, accurate and easier to use than traditional long irons. For this reason John Letters have replaced the 3 & 4 irons in the T7+ set with two of their fantastic T7+ Hybrid Utility clubs. Each John Letters T7+ hybrid utility club uses dual weights to create the 'Extreme Weighting System'. This lowers the centre of gravity and increases the MOI (Moment Of Interia) for a higher, longer, straighter ball flight. Each of the John Letters T7+ irons feature the revolutionary EWS (Extreme Weighting System) technology. This positions a high percentage of the heads weight deep and low, making it easier to get the ball airborne from virtually any lie. This technology also increases the MOI (Moment Of Inertia) for less club head twisting on off centre strikes for increased accuracy. The cavity backed, perimeter weighting design of the T7+ irons provides maximum forgiveness on off centre strikes for consistently better results. Each of the T7+ irons comes fitted with a top quality, stepless, uniflex Apollo steel shaft for the perfect blend of control and distance. The two T7+ hybrid utility clubs come fitted with high modulus Apollo graphite shafts for the maximum club head speed and distance. A John Letters 'Softie' style grip is fitted to each of the clubs for great traction and comfort in all conditions.

The John Letters T7+ Set is really aimed at the beginner or higher handicapper. The hybrids come with graphite shafts and the irons with a uniflex steel shaft and with their wide soles we found them both to be very playable indeed. If you are new to the game and looking for a good quality set at a reasonable price, then you won’t go far wrong with this T7+ set. The 'Softie' style oversize grip which feature on most of the John Letters clubs is lovely to hold, but you may have to replace these types of grips more often as they wear out quicker in our experience.

After trying several sets of clubs in my golf shop the John Letters T7+ just seemed right. I was initially looking at a Mizuno set but then I tried the John Letters. The feel of the grips are nice and the weighted club heads are ideal for the mid to high handicap player. It’s a set of clubs I would not have thought about buying, but after trying them and finding the accuracy and distance were much better than the other clubs, I’m so glad I did buy them.

Tried the John LettersT7+ irons and I like the grip. The Set seemed pretty forgiving and had a nice weight to them.
