Greenhill GTS Golf Trolley

The Greenhill GTS trolley features a number of features to benefit the golfer’s game and wallet. The GTS is a lightweight, stylish and sleek aluminium trolley, featuring core Greenhill technologies such as an original Z folding chassis, compact fold under front wheel, suspension, easy fold locking clips and an ultrasonic digital controller that ensures efficient speed control and drive for a smoother ride. The fold under front wheel means the trolleys will collapse quickly and easily, fitting snugly into a car boot and taking up little storage space at home. As with all Greenhill trolleys, the GTS model can be fully customised with a choice of wheels - Skyline, a lightweight, low profile sports wheel; and Air, a lightweight, tubeless rubber wheel giving extra grip for harsh conditions; and three batteries – 27 and 36 holes or Lithium.

What Golfalot Says

The Greenhill PTS electric golf trolley weighs in at 10kg and features a frame with suspension springs and an advanced electronic braking system that stops the trolley from free-wheeling down hills. Their Kinetic Energy Recovery System or KERS is similar to that used by Formula 1 racing cars and captures the energy produced by the braking and adds it back into the battery. Eager to test these trolleys out on the track, we took the PTS model out for a spin. We were impressed with the advanced braking system with the trolley coming to a stop even on a moderate hill in wet conditions.

Coming from a British company, it is clear this trolley is designed for play on hilly British courses and the wide wheel base and KERS means you don’t have to try and hold a heavy trolley and bag back as you go down a slope. The T-bar handle and controls are easy to use, and we really liked the distance control function that allowed you to send the trolley forward 15, 30 or 45 yards with a simple click of the green button. This is especially useful when sending your bag to the next tee while you putt. However when you want to move off again you need to click the power switch off and then back on, which gets a little annoying.

One other minor drawback was the folding mechanism. While it folded down very easily, the folded handle bar did not attach to the rest of the trolley, meaning that you cannot simply it down the handle and lift the trolley up in one movement. On the plus side, the fact you can fold the front wheel under the trolley means it takes up a little less room in the car, although adjusting it does take some getting used to.

Overall we were thoroughly impressed with the Greenhill PTS Trolley. It seemed very sturdy and looked the part with a stylish frame and mudguards. The distance function and advanced braking system were both excellent features and good value on a trolley in this price range.
