The King Cobra SZ 440 driver is part of the SZ family which replaces the very successful King Cobra SS design, improving upon the all-important 9 hot points across the clubface for greater carry distance and improved accuracy. SZ is short for "Sweet Zone" which refers to the expanded, hotter clubface on the next generation of King Cobra drivers. The King Cobra SZ 440 driver provides maximum allowable energy transfer and a higher coefficient of restitution (C.O.R.) over a greater effective hitting area, resulting in longer distance, greater forgiveness and a sweet, solid feel and sound. A rhombus shaped center pad and thinner titanium ring creates a larger and hotter Sweet Zone. Dual 304T steel inserts placed low in the back of the club head help pinpoint the club's center of gravity. Accuracy is improved due to lower spin variance across the 9 points via modified (flatter) bulge and roll on the face. Low toe and heel expansion promotes greater face flex and forgiveness for bigger, hotter nine points of optimal C.O.R. A thinner, more consistent weld for greater consistency and forgiveness across the entire 9 points of the face.

I bought this Cobra SZ 440 driver recently on recommendation from several golf shops carrying the model. Before, I had a driver from a complete set with which I couldn't hit anything to save my life... I thought the Cobra SZ 440 driver would only be marginally better, but after trying it out on the range, I could hit the ball well up to 150 yards on pure carry even on mis-hits!!! A slice did not do that much damage either. If I hit it true, it would go on for 200 yards on pure carry. I suspect at the angle it was going at, the ball would have rolled up to 240 yards or so. Sweet for a beginner to the game!!! I am looking forward to using it on the course.

Having won this Cobra SZ 440 driver in a Golfalot competition I knew it was going to be lucky. What I didn't know was how far and how high it would send the ball with an easy swing. Even the bad swings didn't put me in too much trouble. Very forgiving, looks great and makes a fantastic sound when hit from the massive sweet spot. It's staying in the bag.

I’m 14 years old and the Cobra SZ 440 is the first real brand name driver I’ve owned. I bought it as a demo club that they were selling off as the new Speed series were coming out. Before having the club my drives were only maybe 175 yards and had some slice to it but after having the Cobra my drives are consistently 230-250 yards straight down the fairway nearly every time. When you make contact with the sweet spot or "sweet zone" the crack it makes rattles through the course and gets a lot of looks at the range. The sound it produces alone has all my friends trading me their R5's and Cleveland’s for a hole or two. It has a lot more carry than it does roll but when it carries as far as my friend’s rolls, it gives the great results along with a more impressive appearance. There’s no doubt in my mind that I will never forget the first time I tried out that club, because it changed the way I look at distance in my game. Now only if I could perfect that flop shot.

I recently purchased the Cobra SZ 440 driver in order to just get that little bit of extra distance on my drives. I tried it out on the driving range immediately and thought WOW! This is the most amazing club in the world!! It has put at least 30 yards on my drive and has eliminated my slice. I am now playing off a handicap of 15 and I am hitting the ball 280-300 yards straight down the middle off the tee every time.
