Cobra Speed LD M Driver

The Cobra Speed LD M driver features an even lower CG and a higher MOI for faster ball speeds and longer, straighter drives. Key refinements to the Cobra Speed LD M driver are an enhanced fast-back crown and deep dimples and increasing the crown slope and deepening the dimples moves the CG lower and deeper. The result is increased MOI and high launch for greater distance. The Speed LD M face utilises a dual rhombus face insert technology to maximise COR. These technologies provide the ultimate in ball speed and distance. The Speed LD M also features internal Frequency Tuning for the perfect combination of satisfying sound and power. The Cobra Speed LD M driver is engineered to maximise performance for moderate-ball-speed players with a tendency to hit a fade or slice. The Speed LD M driver maximises distances on hits across the entire clubface. With the largest face on the market, the Speed LD M is forgiving, which, combined with extra-high launch and a draw bias design, provides increased distance.

What Golfalot Says

The Cobra Speed LD M Driver is a very competent club for the better player. The generous head provides a lot of forgiveness right across the face and some good distance too. As usual with Cobra drivers, they are a little on the noisy side and the draw bias on the head will suit those players who play with a fade. If you hit it straight or draw it then this is probably not the version for you. Apart from that we can't really fault this club as the performance is great and the price is competitive.

What a noise at impact the Cobra Speed LD M driver makes. I think everyone on the range heard it! When you hit the ball you certainly know about it. Ear plugs may be an optional extra Cobra may want to include with each driver. It will suit those mid to higher handicappers as it is easy to hit and gets the ball up in the air, but the flight is just a bit too high for me.
