For a large headed oversized iron the Cobra 3400 I/XH look pretty good.

They are aimed at the high handicapper who needs to get the ball airborne and we found they certainly achieved this. The feel from them was not the best and there was not much feedback on the strike.

The large size head does make them very forgiving and the ball shaped pattern of the grooves on the face made them easy to line up.

At address the thick top line gave a lot of confidence as did the view of the insert low and back from the face to give the maximum amount of forgiveness.

Not bad, but given the choice we preferred the Cobra 3100 irons.

Purchased the Cobra 3400I/XH steel shaft irons after using Callaway Big Bertha, for several years. Don't golf as often as would like and the Callaway’s were OK, even though highly rated. Since purchasing the Cobra 3400I/XH irons clubs at recommendation and urging of local professionals, after three rounds I wish that I had these clubs years ago. While some have criticized the clubs appearance and the lack of feel, I can tell you that their performance is exceptional and consistent!! They are most forgiving, get the ball as high of a launch as anyone could ask and are remarkable in distance with a soft landing. Don't listen to others, or even this reviewer. If you are a high handicapped golfer, you will thank yourself over and over for purchasing them. I tried the 3100 version and they were fine, but not nearly as forgiving and consistent. Try them. You won't be sorry.

The Cobra 3400 I/XH long and medium irons are excellent, but the short irons lack a little bit in terms of feel. Certainly suit players looking for height with their long irons. Very forgiving when hit off centre.

These irons looked good for their size, but they felt pretty dead when you hit them. In their defence the Cobra 3400 I/H irons were forgiving on off centre hits, but overall I was not impressed with them. Maybe they would suit a higher handicapper more than me.
