Cleveland HiBORE XLi Steel Shaft Irons

The Cleveland HiBORE XLi irons represent the next stage in Cleveland’s drive to give the player even greater distance, increased consistency and added consistency that they began with the highly successful HiBORE iron. The only hybrid iron on the market that has a full hollow construction through the entire set, the HiBORE XLi delivers a consistent feel across the whole set from three iron to wedge. Utilizing Cleveland’s patented Distance Driven Geometry to lower the club’s crown the designers have delivered the lowest and deepest centre of gravity position to promote maximum distance and forgiveness. With a progressive offset and sole width through the set the HiBORE XLi promotes a shallow attack angle in the longer irons and a steeper angle in the shorter irons to help promote proper ball striking for ideal launch conditions. The irons also incorporate toe and hell drag relief zones to help increase control from any lie.

Kind of strange to look at - scrub kind of, they're very strange to look at - but great fun to hit. Would I buy them? No, but I can see why people would. Difficuilt to hit anything other than well and consistently. Not my preference but worth considering if you are in the market for total game improvement clubs.
