The Cleveland CG7 Tour irons provide the golfer with the feel, distance and forgiveness that every player demands in the modern game. 360 Gelback Technology has been used to create a lightweight insert that reduces vibration across the clubface allowing the club to deliver ever greater feel. Dynamic Microcavity Technnolgy, which uses different sized microcavitives in each club, allows for each clubhead to have the ideal CG location to promote extra distance. And the CG7 Tour irons have a moment of inertia that is some 6% larger than a traditional iron to help forgiveness and allow the ball to travel long and straight even on off centre hits. With feel, forgiveness and distance the Cleveland CG7 Tour iron gives the golfer all he needs.

The Cleveland CG7 Tour irons are one of the best better player cast irons around. The gelback insert in the rear of the face is aimed to reduce vibration across the clubface and it does this very well with each club feeling like a forged iron. The feedback is still great though and the microcavity helps increase the MOI of the club to make it very forgiving too for an iron of this type. We liked the design of the head and it sat beautifully at address, giving you plenty of confidence without looking chunky at all. It was still easy to shape shots with the CG7 Tour irons and Cleveland seem to have got everything in balance for a forgiving performance iron. A must try.

They're nice, they're pleasant but they're a bit insipid. Absolutely nothing wrong with them and they look OK but this is a crowded market and they don't exactly push themselves to the front of the queue. I'd normally shy away from Tour versions of anything but these performed quite well for me and - their major plus from my perspective - had a forgiveness I wasn't really expecting. Not a bad choice but certainly not an "Oh, my God, these are fantastic" choice either.
