Cleveland CG1 irons are made from Cleveland Golf?s new patent pending Carbon Metal Matrix (CMM), these new CG1 irons take traditional blades to a new level of feel and performance. This new material contains microscopic carbon spheres that are suspended within the metal that help create a matrix material that is 10% less dense and 15% softer than traditional carbon steel used in cast and forged club heads. CMM not only provides soft feel but also offers designers a new found freedom to redistribute weight for optimum performance. These irons have a slightly larger muscle which helps to move the centre of gravity lower and deeper promoting a higher ball flight, especially in the long irons.
