The Cleveland Launcher FL fairway wood is one of the best fairways that Cleveland has made.

The head is slightly larger and a little more closed than the previous DST model but the excellent lightweight Miyazaki shaft delivers a much more penetrating flight.

The stiff shaft felt a little stiffer than average but you felt it really delivered the power and the zing sound at impact was awesome. We were hitting it for ages just for that!

The tall deep face was oversized but not too big so it gave lots of confidence and forgiveness.

The Launcher FL looks great, sounds great and goes great and this is one of the best fairways we have tested recently and is likely to be competitively priced so we would recommend checking it out.

The Cleveland Launcher FL had a bigger head that I have seen on fairway woods recently. The low-profile, oversized head sits great behind the ball on the fairway and although the weight of the club will make you feel like it will fly too high and be hard to control, it was quite the opposite. It was a joy to hit, and produced long shots that had a mid to high ball flight that was easy to work. I found it went a little higher than I would like off a tee, likely due to the low-profile head design and the 'tingy' noise at impact wasn't quite for me. However, from light rough and tight fairways it was great. Certainly recommend you add this to the shortlist for your next fairway wood.
