Callaway X-Forged Steel Shaft Irons

The Callaway X-Forged Irons are designed for elite golfers seeking the ultimate in shot-making and distance control. With a notch back blade forged from soft 1020 carbon steel, the new X-Forged Irons feature a Flighted Center of Gravity (CG) Design for superior feel and trajectory control. A Notch Back Design increases stability through impact, enhances feel and positions the Center of Gravity (CG) close to the face for maximum workability. The Callaway X-Forged irons have a shorter blade length, minimal offset, and the thinnest top-line and narrowest sole in the Callaway Golf line, these irons deliver the aesthetics and shot-making control demanded of serious, discerning golfers. The Center of Gravity (CG) is strategically positioned lower in the long irons and progressively higher through the iron set, providing ideal trajectories and distance-control.

What Golfalot Says

The Callaway X-Forged irons are a big improvement on their predecessors, the X-Tour irons. They have a more classic look combined with the forgiveness you would expect from Callaway. Whilst they were very good, in this very competitive sector we felt they were a little on the heavy side and the feedback from the forged head was compromised a little by the extra weight from the notch system. They are a good club, but if a better player wants forgiveness then the X-20 Tours would seem ideal and if he wants a classic forged iron then there are others on the market that we fell are better. Phil and Ernie will like them though!

The Callaway X-Forged irons were very, very impressive. The best set of irons in my opinion that Callaway have ever made. Look stunning and hit the ball just as well. Have that look about them that just makes you want to play golf. Would put them in my bag right now.
