The Callaway Steelhead III is the 4th generation of Callaway fairway wood I have used and it certainly lives up to the history. I replaced the standard shaft with a Rifle 6.5 shaft but that made it very heavy so I have switched to a X100 True Temper Ultralight and that has got the weight down and it now goes like a rocket. I prefer my Callaway Steelhead III strong 3 wood as it brings more par-5s in range in two and is a great lay-up club off the tee as it still gives loads of distance and fills the gap behind all the longer hitting drivers of today. Only downside is the colour but I can live with that!
