Callaway RAZR X Irons

Callaway Callaway Golf Clubs Callaway Videos Read Reviews
5 stars out of 5 (Based on 4 reviews)

The RAZR X irons feature Callaway’s proprietary RAZR Technology, which shifts the centre of gravity lower and deeper in the clubhead, offering increased shot-making from more places on the course. Extensive player research has shown that golfers tend to strike the ball lower on the clubface and these irons are designed for optimal performance on such shots. The RAZR X irons also contain Callaway’s Variable Face Thickness Power System, with a fully integrated clubface/undercut cavity system that enables the Company’s engineers to precisely position mass properties and design the face of each individual iron for maximum ball speeds on all shots.

The RAZR X is aimed at golfers looking to make the jump from being a high handicap to a single digit player. The RAZR technology creates an iron with distance and forgiveness in mind, but with the versatility and look of a traditional thin sole iron. RAZR X irons are also available in multiple set options that allow golfers to integrate the new RAZR X hybrids into the lower end of their set where consistency may begin to drop off.

Callaway RAZR X Irons Review

As oversized irons go, the Callaway RAZR X irons were a nice size and the top line was confidence inspiring without being too thick. They were also very forgiving to hit with a lovely feel and sound and the uniflex steel shaft helped deliver a powerful strike. They look like the classic irons of the X series of the past but the offset seems more subtle and the styling a little sharper, so if you have the wherewithal, then this is a set to consider for mid handicappers.

These clubs are great. A little heavier than my Big Bertha 2008 irons, which suits me better. They made the contact feel better and was it more consistent. Easy to hit straight shots, and even got a little draw going when required, and hardly any slices. Gained approx 5-10 yards extra distance per club. Not too bad out of the rough either. Love the look, and feel. Definitely recommend this club, I shot 4 under my handicap first time out in damp conditions.

Recently up-graded from the X24-Hot to the RAZR X irons and am not disappointed. The clubs look good, sound good and have added yards to my shots, dropped my handicap from 15 to 13 since switching. The clubs are very forgiving and I would not hesitate in recommending these clubs to mid-handicappers.
