The Callaway Odyssey White Ice Rossie is the latest in Callaway's hugely popular Rossie range of putters. Called after Bob Rosburg the classic mallet shaped putter the Odyssey Rossie has been building a reputation as a favourite with professionals and club golfers for the last twenty years. The White Ice Rossie putter features Dark Nickel looks and is part of the White Ice Core Putters range boasting classic, Tour proven styling with feel and confidence.
The Odyssey White Ice Rossie features a new multi-layer White Ice insert that has been developed with the help of feedback from Callaway’s stable of top Tour players. The White Ice insert has been designed to provide enhanced sound and responsiveness while providing even more consistency on each putting stroke. The Odyssey White Ice Rossie also introduces Advanced Roll Technology that produces a low centre of gravity for a truer roll by moving weight back and lower in the clubhead.

The Callaway Odyssey White Ice Rossie putter has been designed to manage the expected transition to soft balls in light of the changes to grooves in wedges and irons. The multi layer insert has been made firmer than the XG version to give better feel and a faster rebound at impact. The insert is very light at 8 grams compared to 60 grams for steel and therefore Callaway can move weight on the White Ice putter to the toe and heel to enhance the moment of inertia and stop the putter head from twisting at impact.
The other major change is the sound at impact which is significantly better than before. Insert putters have always lacked the sound feedback that we feel is crucial to good putting. However the Callaway White Ice putters have finally solved this problem and we would have to say that the sound is almost as good as an all metal putter and the feel is excellent. In our view this is a great insert and putter for all golfers on the speed of greens that most amateurs play on and you should definitely give it a try.
