Great Big Bertha, the most beloved titanium driver in the history of golf has been reborn with a new look, new technology and new distance-enhancing features. All-titanium construction with an ultra-thin face delivers high ball speed that is barely conforming to the USGA rules, and the R&A standards for elite competition. Spin rate and launch angle are optimized over the entire area of the face to deliver more consistent trajectory whether the ball is struck high or low, heel or toe. Expanded head volume and high MOI combine to make the face hot over a larger area. The new Great Big Bertha II Titanium Driver conforms to the USGA?s current rules of golf as well as the ?condition of competition? proposed for elite competition by the R&A beginning in January 2003.

This Callaway Great Big Bertha II driver is a nice club although not as good as ERC II. Not sure about Callaway stock shaft - feels better with custom shaft (personal preference is UST Pro-force 65). Easy to hit though - easier to shape the ball with the pro-series model as the face sits square to the ball vs. the normal model which sits slightly shut.

Started using this club 2 weeks ago and even though it's November & I've a dodgy back I can still drive over 280 yds repeatedly. Gave it a wallop on a par-5 to see what would happen. The result was a 7 iron to the green for my 2nd shot! It really does get some distance.
