Integrating the full benefits of titanium and composite, the Callaway ERC Fusion Driver delivers unparalled performance off the tee, featuring high-performance forged titanium 'cup-face' with a lightweight carbon composite body that contains strategically located internal weighting. Its lightweight composite with 3-part internal weighting has 3 times more discretionary weighting than an all-titanium driver of the same size, providing high trajectory and stability.
As titanium drivers reach the limit of their performance, the new battle ground is composite drivers and Callaway's ERC Fusion is their first effort at this. The lightweight carbon body makes the club feel nice and light, although it is not the most beautiful head we have ever seen. The head looks quite small by today's standards at 360cc but that doesn't detract from the performance, which is generally very good. The ERC Fusion driver is designed to help launch the ball on a high trajectory and it certainly does that, although with the correct shaft in you should get the tracjectory you desire. If you prefer a duller sound to the usual titanium 'ping' then you will like the Callaway ERC Fusion driver.

You either love the Callaway ERC Fusion...or hate it, and for me it was the latter. It did nothing for me. It looks bad, makes a horrible sound at impact with the ball and doesn't give you any confidence at address. The ball seemed to fly out with a low flight before rising at the end and ended up going no where. The Callaway ERC Fusion is just an ugly club.

Usually I like the look of Callaway drivers, but the hosel area of the Callaway ERC Fusion makes it look more like an old Ping driver. Not the prettiest of things, but it does the job. I didn't really like the sound it made, which is a bit dull and probably due to the head construction. Looking on Golfalot's price comparison service I can see you can get good Ping, Mizuno and Cobra drivers for less than this one and that is where my money is going. Sorry Callaway!

The Callaway ERC Fusion is the longest club I have ever hit bar maybe the Taylormade XR-03. You either love or hate the looks and I love them especially how easy it is to align. Hit a good drive and you get more of a crack then the normal ping of a titanium driver.
