Callaway Diablo Edge Utility Club

4.5 stars out of 5 (Based on 6 reviews)

The Callaway Diablo Edge Hybrid golf club features the same Variable Thickness technology as the Diablo Edge fairway woods while the hosel is designed to be compatible with the Diablo Edge Irons. This allows each Diablo Edge hybrid club to fit seamlessly into your Callaway Diablo Edge set.

Callaway have introduced a thinner crown which has lowered the centre of gravity and positioned exactly behind the area where most amateurs hit the ball. This allows the Diablo Edge to consistently provide a high and strong ball flight that travels further and lands softer. The Diablo Edge also features a brand new and unique sole design that performs consistently from a range of different lies.

Offering both cutting edge technology and stunning performance the Callaway Diablo Edge hybrid club is the perfect alternative to those difficult to hit long irons and will offer golfers of all abilities a confidence boosting club that they return to again and again. To make it easier to settle on the perfect combination Callaway are offering a number of set options which can see the Diablo Edge hybrid introduced from the 6-iron up.

Callaway Diablo Edge Utility Club Review

The Callaway Diablo Edge hybrid is a club that has been designed to boost confidence. The club looks and feels great when you’re addressing the ball and you can tell from the large head and offset hosel that this is a club that has been built to get the ball up in the air and moving forward.

The feel at impact was also excellent although we did find the Diablo Edge’s sound just a touch too high pitched for our delicate ears! Sound aside, however, this is a very forgiving club and will offer confidence and an added boost to any mid and lower handicappers who prefer the safety of a hybrid over a long iron.

After using a handfull of different hybrid clubs over the last few years including bafflers, Taylormade, and Mizunos, I wondered what the fuss was about hybrids. That was untill I got this club, a 21-degree stiff shaft Callaway Diablo Edge. It's fantastic and by far the best club in my bag. Easy to hit and nice high ball flight with plenty of carry. My only gripe is that 21 degree is lowest loft and would love this club in 17 or 18. As I dont use fairway woods the gap is a little big between hybrid and my Ping G20 driver.
