If these irons were any easier to use, they would swing for you. The new Big Bertha Irons are the ultimate in forgiveness due to its all-steel design and Notch Weighting Technology. Notch Weighting moves mass toward the heel and the toe for increased forgiveness and less distance lost on off-center hits. And thanks to Callaway?s patented technology, these irons even turn your fat shots and off-center hits into great shots. A 360° variable undercut channel improves perimeter weighting and delivers a solid feel. For a low center of gravity, the Big Bertha Irons come equipped with VFT technology that optimizes face thickness to concentrate more weight toward the bottom of the clubhead.
The Callaway Big Bertha irons really go back the roots of Callaway golf. Big headed irons that are very easy to hit, but look a bit chunky. At address you can see the big cavity on the back of the club which gives you a lot of confidence that you are going to get a good strike. The ball comes off the face very easily and you hardly notice you have hit it due to the big sweet spot and the clubs are nice and light. Of all the Callaway irons, this will hit it on the highest trajectory, so it will be suited most to mid-high handicappers. That said, several Tour players have the 1 and 2-irons of this model in the bag instead of a rescue club.
