The Callaway Big Bertha Diablo's titanium clubhead features Callaway’s new Edge Technology which allows the centre of gravity to be ideally placed in the clubhead.

The unique shape of the head helps the clubface to close at impact to deliver more power on every drive. The use of Hyperbolic Face Technology on the inside of the face helps the club deliver the highest ball speeds of any Big Bertha driver across the entire clubface.

Stability and an optimum distribution of weight are delivered by the usual Callaway S2H2 short, straight, hollow hosel to remove weight from that area of the club.

The Diablo driver certainly looks striking and Callaway have delivered on their promise of a club with an ultra modern feel. At address the head shape may appeal to some more than others, but we really liked it.

Now looks aren’t everything but the good news is that the Diablo driver performs well on the golf course as well. We found that the club scored very highly for both distance and accuracy while the generous and forgiving clubhead responds well to any off centre hits without big losses in length or accuracy.

The Diablo driver is available in neutral and draw versions with lofts ranging from 8 degrees to 13 degrees. There is also a Tour version which comes with a full length hosel placed closer to the face that is also 1 and a half degrees open to enable you to shape the ball more easily.

I bought this new in 2010 and it still hits great 8 years later. I play 25-30 rounds a year so 200+ rounds with this driver and no durability issues at all.

Decent driver, but not very durable. Third summer of use and the head cracked, and not from abuse.

More accurate than my Octane 3 wood.

Wow!!!! This club gos!!! Everyone that hits my driver gos from 250-260 with their old driver to 275-300 with the Diablo. I've improved a bit myself.

What's to say? You'll either like the looks or hate them. Get past that and you've got a club that performs very nicely. Forgiving and long with a nice ball flight it's pretty much everything you could want in a driver - provided the aesthetics don't upset you too much!

The Callaway Big Bertha Diablo Driver is a great addition to the Callaway range and is a very competitive club in its price range. Although the large extended head shape may be too hefty for some I managed to get used to it, a process made much easier by the performance it delivered! A really solid feeling at impact and a consistent, penetrating ball flight that resulted in great distance is always a winning combintaion! If you like the look of the driver, and some won't, then it could be a real winner for you.

Our mid-handicap players were the least smitten with it.
