Callaway Big Bertha 06 Graphite Shaft Irons

The Callaway Big Bertha 06 irons are the latest in the Big Bertha iron product line renowned for maximum forgiveness and playability and build on new technologies that deliver improved performance. The Big Bertha 06 Irons are available in 2-iron through Lob Wedge and come in a standard set configuration of 3-iron through Sand Wedge and are priced the same as the current model. They are for players who seek a solid, game-improvement iron combining forgiveness, performance and styling. Essential core technologies consisting of S2H2, Tru-Bore and Variable Face Thickness (VFT) and a constant-width sole, added with extreme Notch Weighting and a deeper 360-degree Undercut Channel result is a game-improvement iron bristling with technology. Extreme Notch Weighting allows Callaway Golf club designers to move mass to the perimeter of the clubhead, mainly to the heel and toe, for increased forgiveness and distance on off-center hits. The deeper 360-degree Undercut Channel further maximises the benefits of perimeter weighting by enhancing the clubhead’s stability and resistance to twisting. All Big Bertha 06 Irons come with a polished-chrome finish with red and black accents.

What Golfalot Says

If you have played Callaway Big Bertha Irons before then you will be familiar with what the 2006 version has to offer. Loads of forgiveness and very easy to hit. The 2006 versions look like most Big Bertha irons of the past although the design has been updated again and the heads are now looking really good for irons of this type. The 2006 Big Bertha's come with a larger undercut channel in the back of the heads which alllows more weight to be moved to the perimiter of the club, thus making it even more forgiving. The soles of the club are also modifed to have a constant width, which thankfully is not too wide, for increased playability. You'll never sting your fingers on these irons as they are very easy to hit. Ideal for the mid to high handicapper who would like more forgiveness and a set of confidence inspiring irons.
