In our test the Callaway HX Hot golf ball performed very well.

The distance was very good and the stability in the wind was excellent. The feel for chipping and putting was also surprisingly good for what essentially is a distance ball.

The ball is deisgned to have low spin off a driver, but it also had low spin off short irons and wedges and therefore is probably better suited to mid to high handicap golfers.

Durability of the cover was very good and overall we would recommend this ball for those seeking extra distance without sacrificing feel.

The Callaway HX Hot is aimed at people who don’t want to generate a lot of spin and the ball doesn’t offer much spin. From the driver the distance is really great but it suffers in the short game. It sounds heavy off the face and it’s tough to get the ball to stop. Overall, nice ball, great for distance but not great for the short game.

I'm normally a Titleist man when it comes to golf balls but this Callaway HX Hot ball impressed me. A little bit harder than what I'm use to but it felt great on the short game and when hit with a driver it went a long way. Don't think I would change from my Pro V1 but this is definitely a ball to consider for the mid to high handicapper which is where the product is aimed for.

The Callaway HX Hot was an excellent ball and, as a low handicapper, I found it a great winter ball. I got a lot of distance from it and the feel on and around the greens was very good for this type of ball. Unfortunately it did not spin as much as I would like on short approaches so is not a summer ball for me, but then this is not really aimed at the lower handicapper. Overall I would say that the Callaway HX Hot is an excellent option for senior or mid to high handicap golfers.
