The first thing we noticed about the Callaway FT-iZ hybrid is the clubhead which is quite large for hybrid and gives the impression that this is a club that really wants to be a fairway wood.

It is certainly very noticeable at address and that might be enough to put the lower handicappers off who are looking for a hybrid which gives that feel that you can hit and shape all kinds of shots. On the other hand mid to high handicappers will certainly appreciate the confidence boost this gives and it also means the FT-iZ is one of the most stable clubs around and it is very forgiving on off centre hits.

The sound and feel are excellent as well. The FT-iZ hybrid is an ideal club for mid to high handicappers seeking a consistent and forgiving replacement for their long irons.

I have been playing a 5H and 4H in a women's flex graphite shaft and have never played with a more forgiving club and one that really gets the ball up in the air - and straight. My 5H plays more like a 6H, and the 4H plays more like a 5H. I just purchased a 3H in men's senior flex and can't wait to try it.

I have been playing a 2h, 3h, and a 4h for the past 4 years. They are very consistent and very easy to hit. I have not found a better hybrid on the market.
