The Wilson Staff FG Tour X golf ball is designed for the competitive player who is seeking more distance and control.

The FG Tour X has a firmer feel and improved performance thanks to Wilson's 93 compression, appealing to the low-handicap player with a higher than average swing speed. Whilst providing long-game distance with a firmer core, the Wilson FG Tour X's 3-piece multi-layer construction – covered with a soft, thin, cast urethene veneer – offers maximum control and spin on short irons and wedges.

The FG Tour X features Wilson's Traction Control Technology. This technology improves stopping power on the greens and enhances carry distance thanks to a higher spin production, and also reduces fliers from the rough by engaging more surface area contact with the clubface and grooves. Overall, the Traction Control Technology generates a 17% higher contact area between the ball and clubface, meaning 13% more grooves engaged during impact. This results in more spin and greater control.
