Srixon has continued their presence in the two-piece market with the newest update to their popular UltiSoft and Soft Feel models for 2018, featuring a number of tweaks to improve performance for those golfers wanting to maximise distance, control and feel.

Srixon Soft Feel 2018 Golf Ball

12 years after it was first released, the Soft Feel ball is now in its 6th generation and is designed for all-around tee to green performance for slower swingers, by combining long distance with excellent feel.

Jeff Brunski, Vice President of Research and Development at Srixon, explains the benefits of the latest model:

The all-new Soft Feel was designed to help players maximise their distance off the tee, while providing even better feel and control. The latest generation Soft Feel accomplishes this goal, offering a lower compression ball for incredible distance, but a softer cover to provide that greenside performance all players crave. The Soft Feel provides all-around performance at an incredible value which really separates this golf ball from the rest.

The Energetic Gradient Growth Core, first introduced for the 2016 model, maintains the ball’s compression at 60 and provides a high-launch which pairs with lower spin trajectory off the tee for added distance whilst maintaining softer feedback at impact.

A softer, thinner ionomer cover promotes more greenside spin and control with a softer feel when pitching, chipping and putting.

2016's 324 Speed Dimple Pattern has been upgraded to a new 338 Speed dimple pattern which is more aerodynamic and reduces drag on the ball, creating a more penetrating flight in windy conditions for more accurate and consistent shots.

The Soft Feel ball is available in Soft White and Tour Yellow colouring, with a Soft Feel Lady model also coming in Soft White and Passion Pink and is available from August 1st at £24 per dozen.

Srixon UltiSoft 2018 Golf Ball

Now into its second generation, the UltiSoft is a two-piece golf ball that offers one of the lowest compression levels on the market, at 38, to suit those golfers with mid to low swing speeds who want to maximise feel around the green and higher launch, without sacrificing distance.

The UltiSoft also features Srixon’s Energetic Gradient Growth Core which is now even softer than the previous model. The variable-compression core gives an improved ball flight with the much sought-after high launch, low spin characteristic.

The soft, thin ionomer cover is more flexible and so can grip the clubface more to generate higher rates of spin, giving the player greater control around the green and a softer feel even on longer shots where swing speeds are much higher.

Distance off the tee is said to be achieved with the new 338 Speed Dimple Pattern, as seen in the Soft Feel ball, which is designed to cut through the wind for longer carry and more roll with the driver and fairway woods.

Srixon UltiSoft 2018 Ball

The UltiSoft is available in Soft White from August 1st and is priced at £24 per dozen.
