Having injected Ignite into Rickie Fowlers Titan Tour Ignite golf shoes Puma has taken the proprietary foam to create the Ignite Spikeless, a dynamic take on a classic golf shoe.

Puma Ignite Spikeless Golf Shoe

Ignite is an ultra-responsive cushioning foam that sits in the midsole of the shoe giving golfers energy return as they move their feet, extreme comfort and responsive stability.

In the Ignite Spikeless the foam is located the full length of the shoe, from toe to heel, meaning your foot is fully cushioned on every step for the maximum energy return and comfort.

Puma has built this into a spikeless design that tips its cap to the classic golf shoe, albeit one that clearly has one eye on fashion and sporty design, ensuring the look works equally well on and off the course. The last has a sleeker and more refined look than previous Puma models, giving both a better fit and increased comfort, as well as an appealing style when golfers look down at the toe.

The comfort theme is continued in a specially designed heel collar, constructed from a flexible and breathable mesh to provide excellent fit and support. The upper is a premium full-grain leather with a textile lining and heavy gauge stitching to give the shoes long lasting quality and durability, coming with a 2 year waterproof guarantee.

A lightweight foam tongue gives a customised fit around each foot, whilst a moulded EVA sockliner ensures long lasting comfort and support. Additionally, as has now become the norm with Puma golf shoes, the Ignite Spikeless come with two colours of lace allowing you to customise the look.

As with all spikeless shoes, the sole is an important component, required to provide the grip and traction needed for on course performance, as well as hard wearing, lasting comfort for golfers who choose to use the shoes for off course wear.

The Ignite Spikeless sole is made from a performance TPU that Puma says has a proven record of long lasting abrasion resistance on all surfaces. The pattern on the sole is called Gripzone Traction and is made up of a series of 39 strategically placed hexagonal pods for multi-directional traction and 24 chevron shaped lugs that increase grip where it is needed most, both during the swing and navigating around the course.

Grant Knudson, Head of Footwear at Puma Golf commented:

The Ignite family of footwear was designed with comfort in mind. Specifically for the Spikeless version, we drew inspiration from classic golf footwear and combined that with a fashion-forward and sporty design, resulting in a stylish, high-performance shoe that can be worn on and off the course.

The full-length Ignite Foam midsole provides unparalleled cushioning that keeps you comfortable all day, while still providing the perfect balance of support, stability and traction.

The Puma Ignite Spikeless golf shoe is available in five colourways, White/Surf the Web/Green Gecko, White/Turbulence/High Risk Red, Black/Glacier Gray, Drizzle/Vibrant Orange, and Chipmunk/Peacoat.

A women's version is also available with three colours, White/Purple Cactus Flower/Glacier Gray, White/Glacier Gray/Rose Red and Black/Pink Dogwood/Glacier Gray, to choose from.
