Ping's 2015 Autumn and Winter collection is the first since the company took its apparel back under its own wing and it showcases the performance fabrics of its Sensor range as well as bringing proven fabrics from the outdoor industry to the golf market for the first time.

The Sensor platform, introduced in 2014, has three categories, Cool, Warm, and Dry, all engineered to respond to the body's requirements and demands of the game, whatever the conditions.

Ping Tour Eye Rain Jacket

2015's collection adds to the Sensor range and in the Sensor Dry Category Ping has partnered with outdoor brand Pertex to create the Pertex Shield+ that features in the Ping Tour Eye lightweight waterproof jacket.

Ping Tour Eye Waterproof Jacket

Developed with input throughout the design process from Louis Oosthuizen, the Tour Eye Jacket has been tested at the highest level in the most extreme conditions, all engineered specifically for golfers.

It is constructed using the lightweight Pertex Shield+, combining a three layer, tightly woven stretch fabric to the front, and a back body with a Pertex proprietary polyurethane film laminate. The result is a highly breathable (20,000gm/24h), highly waterproof fabric that withstands 20,000mm of water before it permeates through the fabric.

In layman's terms, wind driven rain exerts approximately 1,400mm of pressure whilst hurricane force rain equates to around 7,000mm, so it's clear the Tour Eye will stand up to any conditions you will find yourself facing on the course.

Pertex Shield+ is an extremely durable fabric and attention has been paid to resist wear in key areas of the jacket such as the shoulders, which endure additional stress when carrying a golf bag. The jacket also includes a vent on the chest for additional air flow as well as clean adjustable cuffs designed to ensure minimal distraction when you play.

The sleeves of the jacket are made from a Pertex Shield+ three layer waterproof knitted fabric, giving a combination of waterproof protection as well as full stretch performance, ensuring complete motion during the golf swing. All the seams are fully sealed throughout the jacket and it is guaranteed by Ping to be waterproof for three years.

The Tour Eye Jacket, which has an RRP of £200, is available in full and half zip models, with matching waterproof trousers, that have the same performance characteristics as the jacket, are available with an RRP of £150 to make a complete performance suit.

Ping Zero Gravity Waterproof Jacket

The second technical innovation to join Ping's Autumn/Winter Sensor Dry line up is the Zero Gravity waterproof jacket.

Ping Zero Gravity Waterproof Jacket

The Zero Gravity uses an extremely lightweight Pertex Shield+ 2.5 layer fabric that offers the same waterproof and breathability ratings as the Tour Eye jacket as well as a three year waterproof guarantee.

The Zero Gravity stands out in the weight stakes tipping the scales at just 258g in the jacket model and only 191g for the vest making it the ideal performance shell. It's lightweight structure and small storage size means it is easy to carry and does not take up valuable space in the bag.

Ping Benedict Zip Top

Ping's Sensor Warm category sees the introduction of the new Benedict zip top.

The Benedict is a finely knitted 14 gauge top featuring a woven overlay to the front, body and shoulders, providing increased thermal insulation where the body needs it most, as well as offering wind resistance and a water resistant finish.

Ping Lars Polo Shirts

The Sensor Cool category is boosted for Autumn/Winter with the introduction of the technical Lars Polo Shirt.
