The Ping S56 irons, designed for better players, are solid, simple and sound great.

The new tuning port in the back of the clubhead really helps the feedback in terms of sound and feel and we really like the confidence the clubhead exudes when behind the ball.

The feel is soft and strong and the low-pitch sound mirrors that great feel as well as giving excellent feedback when you hit the ball.

The clubhead is smaller than most of Ping's irons and will certainly appeal to better players. The chrome finish is relatively dull but in a way that looks very appealing at address.

Unlike most lower-handicap irons, the Ping S56's have curved edges and a more square overall profile that is synonymous with Ping's better-player irons.

If you are in the market for a better-player iron, value feel and sound, and don't mind Ping's unique clubhead shape, the S56 is certainly worthy of your attention.
