The popularity of traditional golf shoes may have spiked in the late 1990s, but now the popular shoe in golf is spineless.

Oakley have added to their Cipher range of golf shoe, releasing the Cipher 2 shoe. Weighing just 260 grams, the Ciper 2 uses various technologies and materials to create a lightweight shoe that brings you closer to the ground.

The performance-engineered synthetic skin is lightweight and waterproof. The Coreflex channel has been designed to offer more flexibility. A Hydrofuse technology has been used to create the flattest, lightest, most durable seams. But the real secret is in the Cipher 2's sole.

The outsole features Oakley's unique NanoSpike spikeless TPU traction zones. The thousands of tiny, high-grade metal spikes are built to bite the grass and are said to last longer, and get golfers closer to the ground, when compared to traditional spikes.

And for those of you with 'strong-smelling' feet, the Cipher 2 even has an Antimicrobial treatment that controls the odor within the shoe.

The Oakley Cipher 2 is available in 4 colour options, in sizes 6 to 13, in either a wide or regular fit. The RRP is £140.
