The Nike VRS fairway wood features the NexCOR face design that places more weight behind the centre of the face for greater ball speed. The face also features a L-Face design so that the weld line is on the sole of the club instead of on the face, so that the forgiveness is increased. The low profile head on the Nike VRS fairway has an aerodynamically designed sole to allow air to flow more easily over the club during the swing in order to increase clubhead speed and distance.
