Galvin Green has long led the way in the crusade to get golfers to buy into layering.
Now the Official Supplier of Weatherwear to the 2018 European Ryder Cup Team are taking another step by introducing new layering technology to help serious golfers play and perform throughout the season.
The new hybrid range of Shell Layer garments is called Interface-1, which thanks to state-of the art fabrics are jackets that can be worn virtually every time you play.
Galvin Green CEO, Christian Nilsson explains:
The mission was to create a group of products that could be worn by golfers in 95 of 100 rounds they play, so they can enjoy playing the game more often in different weather conditions. We set out to find new fabrics and design quality garments that will act as genuine performance-enhancing equipment when called upon out on the course and the latest Interface-1 jackets are in a class of their own when it comes to regular playing conditions.
The lightweight, windproof Interface-1 is also water repellent, extremely soft, breathable and stretchy to let you swing without restriction. The come in seven different styles with up to eight colour variations, including new Orange and Fore Green.
Leading the Interface-1 range is the Lance, a full-zip jacket with a sleeve pocket made from 100% polyester stretch fabric and a PU membrane in four colour options. A re-positioned side seam increases comfort and there is an elastic drawstring hem.
Another full-zip option is the short-sleeved Lars whilst the Lennox is a half-zip jacket with a 3-layer fabric construction. The Leon incorporates a moisture-transporting backer in a full-zip style.
There is also a body warmer version, called the Lenny, that has a 3-layer construction in two colour options.
Interface-1 is completed by the Larry, a full-zip jacket with a water repellent finish that combines a soft Polyamide fabric with the popular PrimaLoft padding, and the Logan, a full-zip body warmer with a chest pocket that provides excellent protection with similar PrimaLoft padding.
The Insula warm layer is led by the eye-catching Dawson full zip jacket with padded patches on the shoulders and a zipped pocket on the left sleeve offering thermal regulation and style.
As well as the Interface-1 range, Galvin Green is launching body mapped, thermo-regulating, Insula mid-layers plus a new range of highly breathable Ventil8 Plus shirts.
The cool layer Ventil8 Plus short sleeve shirts include the Marlon, featuring tailored collars and cuffs and 20+ UV protection plus the Mayer that comes in six 4-colour versions, each with a variable stripe design and subtle ‘G’ logo.
