More and more often these days it is becoming a necessity for golf club pro shops, and golf shops themselves, to have launch monitor equipment available for customers. Golfers want to be able to look at their performance numbers both when having lessons and comparing or testing new golf equipment, and launch monitors such as those provided by Foresight give the most accurate representation of performance of any device on the market.

Foresight GCHawk Launch Monitor

Back in 2017 Foresight launched their GCQuad launch monitor, which uses four ultra high-speed cameras to track ball flight and club head data during the golf swing with extreme accuracy. The latest generation of their GC line, the GCHawk, is said to be specially designed for the 'rapidly growing indoor simulation and entertainment driving range market', and is intended to be placed on the ceiling above the golfer.

Director of Foresight Sports Europe Edward Doling explains:

With the GCHawk, both right and left-handed players can hit shots without the need to move the technology, adding greater fluidity to game play. The elevated position above the player's head provides a new level of playing freedom, making the virtual game experience as true-to-life as possible.

The demand for the product is simply a sign of the times. The amazing capabilities of the GCHawk and unmatched accuracy satisfies a wide range of needs from residential simulators and entertainment ranges, to fitting and instruction studios.

The GCHawk comes with the same level of simulation precision and ball data accuracy as the award-winning GCQuad, and is ceiling-mounted to fit seamlessly into a commercial, residential or driving range environment.

Like its predecessors, the revolutionary GCHawk is fully compatible with the latest Foresight Sports FSX 2018 simulation software, as well as the brand’s growing collection of performance and game apps.

Whilst this launch monitor is undoubtedly pretty cool, it's probably not realistic to think that your local pro will have one installed in his studio next time you walk in for a lesson. They are expensive bits of kit, but if you truly want to get the most out of technology for your practice and fitting, the GCHawk is bound to be one of the best options available.
