The 2013 Footjoy Contour Casual shoe is the new version of the original Contour Casual, released earlier in 2012. The 2013 version has undergone some design tweaks to add quality to the Contour series, a range Footjoy claim is the world's best selling range of golf shoes.
Developed using the same techniques as the rest of the Contour range, the 2013 Contour Casual incorporates a completely new upper design, highlighted by a colourful saddle and toe blucher. Offered in several colour options, this leather shoe has been designed by Footjoy to deliver support, fit durability, all in a premium looking shoe.
Inside the shoe is where the technology is. A Contoured Platform provides the support, whilst the soft Athletic Mesh linings add comfort with help from a lightweight PU (poly urethane) Fit-Bed. The Contour Casual's spikeless sole is made of a rubber DuraMax material. This rubber is flexible and durable but designed to provide ample traction and comfort.
Our friend Russell Lawes, from Footjoy Europe, told us:
"The Contour Causal has become an instant hit for FJ since we first launched it in May this year, with demand surpassing expectations. The response from retailers to the 2013 re-design has been extremely encouraging and I firmly believe the new styling reflects the ever-changing fashion demands of the modern golfer. This shoe is the ideal option for the golfer who enjoys the convenience of wearing the same shoes from the practice area to the clubhouse, but still demands the premium materials, comfort and style that FootJoy has delivered for over 100 years."
So there you have it, the 2013 Contour Casual will be available from October in five different colour options and in both medium and wide widths.
