Professional golfers, like amateurs, are always on the look out for anything that can offer them more distance. A new driver, a new ball, a new swing? We golfers will try anything.

At this week's Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open at Castle Stuart, some of the world's best golfers attempted the famed Happy Gilmore swing. The results were pretty entertaining:

Padraig Harrington was the "Happiest Gilmore", his 338 yard drive was 48 yards further than his average drive on Tour this season. Perhaps there is something to the Happy Gilmore swing after all?
