Cobra is taking forgiveness to the Max with its new family of F-Max woods and irons designed to maximise speed and forgiveness right across the Super Game Improvement category.

Cobra F-Max Driver, Fairway And Hybrids

The F-Max wood family is comprised of men’s and women’s versions of drivers, fairways and hybrids all of which use super light configurations combined with game improvement technology to make them Cobra's most forgiving woods ever.

Cobra F-Max

The Cobra F-Max driver uses the proprietary Cobra Superlite 50 shaft (Superlite 45 in the women's model) that is lighter than the shaft used in its predecessor the Cobra Max.

This combines with a reduced swing weight to promotes improved clubhead speed and greater distance for players with moderate swing speeds. The driver also has a larger Lamkin Rel 360 midsize to improve comfort and promote consistency from the tee.

Tom Olsavsky, VP of R&D for Cobra Golf, emphasises the importance of this:

When it comes to the Super Game Improvement category, it can’t be overstated how important lightweight construction is to this category of player. With the creation of F-Max we have focused on the concept that lighter means easier to hit and we have gone to great lengths to ensure that even our components deliver superiority when it comes to reduced weight.

Cobra F-Max

The lightweight make up is boosted by some familiar Cobra technology to turn the increased club head speed into more distance. A Forged Ti-6-4 Titanium Face insert delivers more speed and a larger Sweet Zone for better distance on mishits and back and heel CG internal weighting boosts MOI for a straighter ball flight.

Cobra F-Max

The driver comes with a choice of an Offset hosel to promote a higher draw ball flight or the traditional Straight Neck design for players looking for more workability. Finally a new, subtle, crown alignment feature gives confidence at address to help you hit more fairways from the tee.

The F-Max driver come in 10.5° and 11.5° loft options for me and 15° for women with an RRP of £229.

The F-Max Fairways also have lighter shafts, in this case the Cobra Superlite 60, and larger grips. A Forged 455 Stainless Steel Face Insert increases ball speed across the face and the clubs also have Back/Heel CG weighting, the Crown Alignment Feature and an offset hosel design.

Cobra F-Max

The F-Max Fairways, RRP £169, are available in both right and left-hand in 16, 20 and 23 degrees for men, and 19, 23 and 27 degrees for women.

Cobra F-Max

The F-Max Hybrids feature the same game improvement technology as the fairway woods in a confidence inspiring hybrid head design. The F-MAX Hybrids are available in RH/LH in 19, 22, 25, 28 and 31 degree models for men, and 23.5, 26.5, 29.5 and 32.5 for women with an RRP of £149.

Cobra F-Max And F-Max One-Length Irons

Following the same theme as the F-Max woods, the Cobra F-Max irons also include the world’s first-ever super game improvement One-Length set.

Cobra F-Max

Each of the iron sets feature super light-weight designs and game improvement technologies that make them Cobra's most forgiving and easy to hit iron.

Lighter shafts and larger Lamkin Rel grips deliver a lighter swing weight to improve consistency on long, mid and sort iron shots.

The F-Max iron clubheads have a low profile design that moves the centre-of-gravity low and back to help launch whilst a deep undercut cavity creates more face flex to maintain maximum ball speed across the face.

Cobra F-Max

The construction of the head differs through the set with the 4-7 irons using a thinner 17-4 stainless steel to improve speed and distance and the 8 iron to SW using a softer 431 stainless steel for greater feel and precision.

As you would expect in irons in this category there is back and heel weighting to position the CG for a straighter and higher ball flight and the progressive offset hosel also helps to promote a higher trajectory with added draw bias to fight slices for more consistently accurate shots.

The F-Max One Length irons feature all the same technology in a single length set make-up with the irons re-engineered to match 7 iron weighting throughout the set. This helps to promote more consistent ball striking, accuracy and distance gapping from long irons to wedges.

Cobra F-Max

The One-Length set uses Lamkin Rel 360 Midsize Plus grips in blue and red for men and a softer compound standard men’s size in the women’s irons in a pink and blue colourway, with a red and blue Cobra Superlite 60 shaft in graphite in ladies or senior flex.
