The goal with the Cobra BiO CELL hybrid was to produce a club that will "go long."

Sounds simple doesn't it, but how did Cobra do it? Using their cell weighting technology along with a new crown and face construction, they were able to move the weight inside the head of the BiO CELL hybrid to best optimise ball speed and forgiveness.

As if that wasn't enough, they have offered the utility club in five different colours. The Blue Aster, Barbados Red, Vibrant Orange and Silver colours remain from the AMP Cell range, and a new black colour has been added.

Cobra BiO CELL Colour Options

This is the second generation of Cobra's Cell range, following the AMP Cell hybrid released earlier this year. The "Cell" name comes from the cells of material Cobra have removed from around the head.

Seen in the photo below, Cobra were able to remove weight using a web-like construction, and position that weight lower and deeper in the head.

Another change in the BiO Cell hybrid is the driver-like construction of the face. Cobra used a strong, thin, 455 carpenter steel insert fitted to the stainless steel body, which they claim has increased ball speeds by around 2mph compared to the AMP Cell.

Cobra's calling card in recent ranges of clubs has been options. Whether it's clubs, colours, finishes, shafts, they offer golfers plenty of options in finding the right club. In terms of adjustability options, the BiO CELL hybrid offers even more than before.

The improved MyFly8 adjustable hosel offers 8 different lofts in three different head designs, meaning that there is a total of 22 different lofts available.

The 2-3 hybrid ranges from 16 to 19 degrees with three draw settings, the 3-4H increases from 19 up to 22 degrees and the 4-5 offers lofts of 22 to 25 degrees. Each clubhead offers three draw settings and five neutral lofts.
