Building on it's successful 588 name, Cleveland have launched their 588 RTX (or Rotex) wedge. Benefitting from a new Rotex pattern on the face, and with newly designed grooves, the 588 RTX CB (Cavity Back) wedge brings the new face of spin and cavity back forgiveness to the famous look of the Cleveland 588 wedge.

The Rotex pattern sees Cleveland mill a new pattern of roughness of the face of the 588 RTX CB wedges. The roughness on the face and between the grooves allows players to impact maximum spin, especially on open-face shots where impact tends to be closer to the toe.

The groove design was developed closely with Cleveland's Tour players, and has produced Tour Zip U-Grooves that are 16% bigger and more precise that the standard 588 wedge. By maximising the groove size and creating a rougher, more durable face, the Cleveland 588 RTX CB wedge produces greater friction and spin for critical scoring shots, whether from the fairway, rough, sand or wet conditions.

The undercut cavity back design helps produce more weighting in the perimeter of the wedge, offering more forgiveness for off-centre strikes. The 588 RTX CB wedge is further benefitted by a wide, consistant-width sole design with toe and heel grinds. Inspired by Cleveland's CG14 and CG16 wedges, the sole is designed to improve shots from bunkers and deep rough.

The 588 RTX CB is available in both a satin chrome and black pearl finish, with lofts increasing in two degree increments from 46 degrees to 60 degrees in both right and left handed options.
