Bushnell has long been at the forefront of innovation in the Distance Measuring Device market.

We've found its laser measuring devices often lead the way with innovations such as the Tour X Jolt that allowed golfers to switch between slope and non slope readings with a simple change of face plate.

Bushnell's latest device, the Bushnell Hybrid, continues this trend by combining the latest laser and GPS technologies in one device.

Bushnell Hybrid Laser GPS Device

What Bushnell is calling a "super-intelligent" device, the Hybrid brings golfers precise laser and GPS yardages at the same time, giving golfers the flexibility to pick the right solution in any given situation.

The Hybrid's laser function gives accurate distances to the pin, front and back of the green and hazards, whilst a GPS display on the side of the device clearly details front, middle and back yardages to help when you are faced with blind shots or just want quicker, more general information.

John DeCastro, Bushnell Golf Product Lane Director explains why the Hybrid stands out:

The Hybrid provides golfers with more information than ever before. The two technologies ‘talk’ so that the golfer sees the front and back distances of the green in relation to the pin that is targeted with unmatched accuracy by the laser. The introduction of the Hybrid demonstrates Bushnell Golf’s commitment to providing the best, most accurate information so those who golf with Bushnell can play their best.

Another interesting aspect of the Bushnell Hybrid is Dual Power Technology, developed to support the power required by the combination of GPS and laser technology in the same device. A CR2 battery powers the laser, whilst a USB rechargeable lithium ion battery powers the GPS capability. Dual Power Technology allows the golfer to use the laser technology, even if the GPS is not charged, and vice versa.

As with Bushnell's other laser devices the Hybrid features PinSeeker with Jolt Technology, providing short, vibrating bursts to isolate the target and lock onto the flag. The laser measurements are acurate to 1 yard, it has 5x Magnification and can locate a flag up to 400 yards away.

The GPS device also gives up to 4 hazard distances per hole, is Bluetooth enabled for auto course updates, and uses Auto course recognition and Auto hole advance.
