Every year spikeless golf shoes seem to have more and more of an impact on the golf industry. In the summer months especially, it's now common to see club golfers switch to 'their summer golf shoes' as opposed to their 'winter shoes'. By this, 9 times out of ten they will mean a pair of modern-day spikeless golf shoes.

Best Spikeless Shoes of 2019

So why have spikeless golf shoes had such a positive impact on the game? There's a number of reasons: comfort, ease of use, less traditional styling, versatility, price and most of all you can go straight into the clubhouse after and not have to worry about what's on your feet. There seems to be a trend of manufacturers producing golf shoes that you can wear in the office as easily as on the course.

Comfort comes in the form of a lightweight PU Fit-Bed said to provide a soft underfoot cushioning, to deliver added comfort and heel support. FJ claim the Golf Casual will offer you outstanding waterproof comfort, breathability and durability with a full year's 100% waterproof EU warranty for piece of mind.

Golfalot Says: "The thing I was most impressed with the Golf Casuals was the combination of lightweight comfort, whilst still offering stability and traction in the golf swing. The comfort and warmth from the classic FJ PU Fit-Bed was outstanding - everything you'd want. And the stability and traction the outsole provided was also very good."

Quick Hit: Limited Edition adidas Crossknit shoes featuring 'peaches and cream' styling ready for adidas ambassadors to wear at Augusta back in April.

The Tech: A CircleKnit upper material combines with an external TPU finish on the heel of the shoe as well as on toes, whilst like the adidas Tour360 XT shoes I reviewed also this year - the Puremotion outsole and Boost Foam Technology offer spring to your step.

Golfalot Says: "This is a great performance golf shoe available at a good price. I think a lot of younger golfers will love this shoe, both its looks and performance. I also think a lot of older golfers wouldn’t even look twice at these shoes, never mind playing golf in them. All in all, with this shoe model, adidas are pushing the boundaries of golf footwear and that I have to applaud."

Quick Hit: As to be expected with G/Fore footwear, the Longwing Gallivanter shoes no doubt fall into the premium category of golf footwear. A full-grain leather upper offers classic golf styling, whilst still being ready for 2019 with a load of modern tech inside the shoe.

The Tech: An Ortholite sock liner coupled with a compression moulded EVA midsole feature on the inside of the shoe offering superb comfort. For traction, the Gallivanter features a bespoke cleat design said to give maximum traction on all golf terrains.

Golfalot Says: "Ok, there may be some minor performance issues when it comes to the breathability and traction, but to be honest I don’t care. When you’re buying a shoe that looks as good as the Gallivanter, I think you can let a couple of things slide."

This combined with a Tri-Fi-Grip outsole, first featured in last year's Biom Hybrid 3, splits the bottom of the shoe into three defined TPU segments to provide distinct performance benefits.

Golfalot Says: "The Ecco Biom Cool Pro shoes are among the most comfortable I have ever used, the looks are something which will appeal to all golfers, they offer waterproof protection, are breathable and give you great traction. I will be switching to the Ecco Biom Cool Pro as my new summer option as they provide everything I am looking for in a spikeless shoe."

Quick Hit: The first time adidas has offered their most successful golf shoe model ever, the world-famous Tour360, in a spikeless offering.

The Tech: Boost technology, a TPU material filling the base of the shoe is said to store and release energy as you walk, so that you feel refreshed and comfortable for the duration of your round. An X-Traxion system on the outsole of the shoe also features, aimed at providing multi-directional grip throughout the golf swing.

Golfalot Says: "You get all the usual benefits of the Tour360 combined with the lighter, easier feel of a spikeless shoe which make them perfect for use once the golf courses start to dry out."
