More used to hosting the best European Tour professionals at Arnold Palmer's famous Oceânico Victoria for the Portugal Masters, Oceânico's championship courses will feature a different type of elite player this summer in the Oceânico World Kids Golf Championship.

Between the 26th and 30th of July the Oceânico Faldo, Oceânico O'Connor and Oceânico Pinhal course will see elite junior golfers from across the globe battle it out for what is destined to become one of the premier events on the expanding and exciting world junior golf circuit.

The Oceânico World Kids Golf Championship is further proof of Oceânico's ongoing commitment to supporting golf at all levels from the elite of the European game at the Portugal Masters to the grass roots level of emerging young talent that will be showcased in July.

Fully sanctioned by the Portuguese Golf Federation the championship is open to boys and girls aged 7 to 16 with categories of competition determined by age and gender. Children aged 10 and over will play 18 holes on three days of competition while those aged under 10 will play only nine holes.

The championship will have the feel and atmosphere of a 'Tour' event with each player' gross score counting for their Championship total. Prizes will be awarded to the first five competitors in each category, both boys and girls.

As the Oceânico World Kids Championship grows, other venues from Oceânico's 'Magnificent Seven' Algarve courses can be used to provide further championship venues. Across its seven courses Oceânico would be capable of hosting up to 1000 junior competitors.

As well as the thrill of playing the impeccable championship golf courses at Amendoeira Golf Resort and in Vilamoura, guests and competitors will also be able to enjoy the magnificent off course facilities and the luxurious accommodation.
