The Golfalot Tour Golfalot Tour game is provided by Golfalot Limited (Golfalot).
1. Registration
On Registering, Players will be asked to provide Golfalot with a few personal details, including their full name and e-mail address. Once registered, the Player assumes all responsibility related to the use of its registered Login name and Password chosen during registration. You have to register with Golfalot to be eligible to win prizes. If you are under 16 years of age, check with your parent or guardian before you register with Golfalot. Player registrations are limited to one per person.
A Player must complete the Registration Form with a valid name and e-mail address in order to be eligible for prizes. Players may edit, update, or alter their Registrations or elements of their Registrations without limitation, at any time and as often as desired. Players shall not enter the name of a famous person or names that may be construed as derogatory or offensive to any portion of the general public. Golfalot assumes no responsibility for lost, late or mis-directed mail, e-mail or electronic communication.
The Player releases Golfalot and the Golfalot Tour games' advertisers or sponsors and their respective agents, employees, officers, directors and shareholders from any and all liability for information published in the Golfalot Tour game, including, but not limited to, material Player finds offensive, slanderous, misleading or inaccurate.
Any registration will be void if it is deemed by Golfalot to be incomplete or unreadable or to have been made by an ineligible person or a person who (in the Golfalot's opinion) is misusing or tampering or attempting to misuse or tamper with the proper conduct of the game. Golfalot reserves the right to delete, suspend and re-instate players as it sees fit.
2. Prizes
Employees and immediate family members of employees of either the promoter the sponsor, or any associate of either, their respective subsidiaries, agents and advisors who are directly involved with the game and other persons assisting with this game are not eligible to win prizes. In each calendar year, a Player may only win one regular Tournament winner's prize and one Order of Merit first prize.
Taxes, if there are any, are the sole responsibility of the prizewinners in relation to prizes awarded herein. Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion. Golfalot reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event the offered prize is unavailable. Golfalot must have received a winner's acceptance of prize or (if selected) relative non-cash alternative offer and notification details within 30 days from the date of Golfalot's notification to the Player to contact Golfalot and to verify the winner's prize claim, failing which the prize claim will be void and Golfalot may reallocate the prize accordingly and the non-cash alternative offer shall be automatically withdrawn without liability to Golfalot. No prize or non-cash alternative offer may be exchanged or transferred by a winner and no one other than a winner can take up any prize.
Postage and packing for prizes sent to addresses in the UK will be paid by Golfalot. Postage and packing for prizes sent to non-UK addresses will have to be paid for by the Player in advance. If a Player decides not to pay the postage and packing then Golfalot may reallocate the prize.
3. Golfalot Tour & My Golfalot Tour Games
Tournaments will be strokeplay competitions played over a set number of rounds on a nominated course by a certain date. An appropriate interpretation of the rules of golf has been implemented in the Golfalot Tour game. Full details are shown in the How To Play section of the Golfalot Tour site.
The winner of a tournament would be the Player with the lowest score over the defined number of rounds. In the event of ties, the Player with the best last round would win. If this were level then the best score over the last 9 holes, 6 holes and 3 holes, 2 holes & 1 hole would be used until a tie is broken. If there is still a tie after this then Golfalot will decide on a further method of tie-break as they see fit. This applies to the lower places as well.
The current leader board of any tournament displays the leading scores for the Player with the best score for 4 completed rounds would be top, followed by the next best scores for those completing four rounds. Then the Player with the best score for 3 completed rounds would be top, followed by the next best scores for those completing three rounds and so on for Players completing 2 and 1 rounds.
Players will need to finish in the top 100 finishers to gain points, which will count towards the Order of Merit. The Order of Merit will run until a date specified by Golfalot. If there is a tie between two Players, then the Player who has played the fewer number of tournaments will be ahead of the other. Golfalot reserves the right to alter the points scale that applies to the Order of Merits.
Players may not play the Golfalot Tour in a manner that is inconsistent with the design of the game or contrary to any of the rules of the Golfalot Tour. Attempting to play in any Tournament more than once is not permitted. Players who attempt to enter any Tournament more than once, or under an assumed name or e-mail address will be disqualified.
4. World Matchplay Game
Golfalot provides the facility for more than one Player to make contact with another for the purposes of playing the Golfalot Tour game. The provision of facilities or assistance to conduct electronic or telephonic information exchanges or activities shall not imply any responsibility of Golfalot or any other company connected with the game or their respective officers, employees, agents and advisors for the information so exchanged or the activities of any Player or other person using them. Golfalot reserves the right, without notice, to remove any notice or to withdraw any facility or assistance in connection with such information exchange and without incurring any liability to any Player provided that the promoter shall not be obliged to remove any material from any such site to which any person objects for any reason without evidence of a court order requiring the same or the written consent of the provider of the material. Players are liable for any potential defamation or infringement of the rights of a third party. Players found to be abusing the World Matchplay facility will have their registration removed from the Golfalot Tour system.
5. Intellectual Property
'Golfalot' is a Registered Trade Mark of Golfalot Limited. Information, artwork and text on this site, except where provided by third parties or where it is expressly stated otherwise is copyright of Golfalot and is for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not reproduce, retransmit, distribute, disseminate, sell, publish, broadcast, circulate the information to anyone, or use this information for any other purpose, without the express written consent of Golfalot. All intellectual property rights subsisting in the Golfalot Tour game are owned solely by Golfalot Limited and may not be reproduced.
6. Data Protection
Under the Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA) Golfalot will store and use data collected and sourced from the Player registration for the duration of the game and may from time to time use that data for other promotional and advertising purposes. The Player consents to the use by Golfalot or its agents of Player's name for promotional purposes to the user without compensation. This will take the form of newsletters and announcements to the Player via e-mail. Players decline further notifications by amending their details in the Edit Details section.
7. Responsibility
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law (but not otherwise) the promoter, and all of its affiliates connected with the game, assume no responsibility and are not liable for the accuracy or otherwise of any prize description or illustration, any representation, warranty, condition or guarantee in respect of a prize (other than those warranties or conditions implied by statute and which cannot be excluded) and the non-availability of any network, loss, late receipt or non-readability of any transmission or other communication.
Whilst every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the information Golfalot accepts no responsibility for any use made of the information provided and shall not be liable for any loss suffered thereby. The Golfalot Tour site contains links to sites provided by other companies and organisations. Whilst every effort is made to ensure their availability, Golfalot is not responsible for access to these sites and may add or remove links to sites at its own discretion without recompense. Golfalot does not take any responsibility for any aspect of these sites including the content, or any goods or services purchased from another site linked to Golfalot.
The Player acknowledges and agrees that neither Golfalot and any associated advertisers and sponsors and their respective agents, employees, officers, directors and shareholders from all liability with respect to the use of the prizes awarded through participation in the Golfalot Tour games. The Player acknowledges and agrees that neither Golfalot nor the Golfalot Tour games' advertisers or sponsors shall be liable for technical, hardware, or software failures of any kind which may limit or prohibit any Player's ability to participate in any part of the Golfalot Tour game and any damages, losses and liabilities resulting from participation in the Golfalot Tour games.
By registering for the Golfalot Tour game the Player agrees to be bound by these Rules and to their interpretation under Scottish law and by the Scottish courts and consent to receiving from Golfalot details of Golfalot Tour game and Golfalot product offers from time to time. Golfalot reserves the right to reserves the right to prohibit anyone from playing who breaks these Rules.
The decision of the Golfalot shall be final and binding in all respects.
